Forked from VS Code, PearAI is an open-source AI code editor that integrates a fork of Continue as its primary AI submodule. The editor provides contextual chat grounded in the codebase, AI-assisted code generation, and inline edits while keeping the familiar VS Code interface. Under the hood the project spans several components: the editor itself in TypeScript and Electron, a Python Flask backend, and a Next.js site with Supabase authentication, with Axiom handling logging and telemetry.
