Stability Matrix

Managing local Stable Diffusion installs is the job of Stability Matrix, a desktop application from Lykos AI that installs, updates, and launches more than 20 image generation packages including AUTOMATIC1111, Forge and reForge, ComfyUI, InvokeAI, Fooocus variants, SwarmUI, and trainers like Kohya's GUI and OneTrainer, each in one click. Git and Python dependencies are embedded, so nothing needs to be installed globally, and the whole setup stays portable across drives and machines. A unified checkpoint manager shares model files between all installed packages, avoiding duplicate multi-gigabyte downloads, and models can be browsed and imported directly from CivitAI and Hugging Face with automatic metadata lookup. The app also includes its own inference interface with prompt auto-completion, syntax highlighting, dockable panels, and project files that preserve generation metadata. It runs on Windows 10 and 11, Linux via AppImage or the Arch AUR, and Apple Silicon Macs. Source code is available under the AGPL 3.0 license, while official binaries ship under a proprietary EULA.
