IOPaint (Lama Cleaner)

IOPaint, formerly known as Lama Cleaner, is a free and open source tool for AI powered image inpainting and outpainting. It erases unwanted objects, watermarks, and defects using erase models such as LaMa, and can replace objects or extend images using diffusion models including Stable Diffusion variants, PowerPaint, BrushNet, and AnyText. Everything runs locally on CPU, GPU, or Apple Silicon, through a browser based web interface after a pip install or through a command line mode for batch processing folders of images. A plugin system adds interactive segmentation with Segment Anything, background removal, anime segmentation, RealESRGAN upscaling, and face restoration with GFPGAN or RestoreFormer. Photographers, designers, and content creators use it as a self hosted alternative to cloud photo cleanup services, since images never leave the machine. Released under the Apache 2.0 license.
